We are primarily working on the chemical synthesis of nanostructured materials for the energy and environmental applications. We design the synthesis procedure to control the shape, size, and crystal structure of various materials including noble metals, metal oxides, and chalcogenides. The as-synthesized materials are subsequently studied for application related to energy generation and remediation of environment.
We use the as-synthesized materials as electrodes in electrochemical cells and supercapacitors for generation and storage of energy, respectively. We also study the ability of as-synthesized materials for adsorption and photodegradation of organic pollutants.
