Electrical Engineering
. I work in the broad area of high frequency power converter circuits with focus on efficiency improvement in soft switched dc-dc converters and isolated single stage PV micro-inverters. There is corresponding emphasis on development of suitable digital control techniques and modulation methods to achieve functionalities such as power decoupling and battery interface in a multiport PV micro-inverter. I am interested in developing modular converter topologies that will perform one-stage power conversion between any combination of ac and dc input/output requirements and would be capable of achieving very high step-up or step-down ratio. I have also been working on the topic of decentralized current sharing of inverters in a microgrid where many unequally rated distributed generators would be delivering power to unbalanced as well as non-linear loads.
