My research interest lies in the broad areas of systems and control, optimization and applied mathematics. In the past, I have worked on algebraic Riccati equations/inequalities (AREs and ARIs). In specific, we obtained a rank characterization of solutions of AREs/ARIs using a linear algebraic approach where we considered both continuous and discrete time cases in a unified manner. I have also worked on networked control systems, specifically, systems under communication constraints.
My current interest lies in networked control systems, multi-agent systems, exploiting the network structure to solve control optimization problems and understanding cyber physical systems. In future,
I would like to work on hybrid systems and optimization problems arising therein. I am also interested in linear matrix inequalities, geometric control theory and applications of mathematics and control theory.
