Presently I am working on the application of Power Electronic converter for various application which includes but are not limited to:
(A) solar photovoltaic (PV) systems: (a) design of solar PV based standalone/off-grid systems for deployment in rural areas, b) transformer-less inverter design for grid connected solar PV systems, c) distributed maximum power point tracking (DMPPT) schemes for medium/large scale solar plants, d) PV based UPS schemes for semi-urban areas.
(B) Electric Vehicle: power converter and motor design
(C) multi-functional, decentralized inverter schemes for grid integration of renewable energy sources,
(D) design of integrated converter topologies for reneables, load emulators, etc.
I wish to extend my work in the following areas: (a) study of micro-grid: dc, ac and hybrid, (b) converter design Wide band-gap devices for various application viz. air borne and marine applications.
